There is a saying “you can’t judge a book by it’s cover”, This quote by George Washington Carver reminds me of this saying. Prepare for life with gusto, use goal setting to plan, otherwise you may drift through life aimlessly. A veneer is just a covering on the outside of wood and a book cover is just that a covering for what’s inside. In business you must have a plan, it takes thorough preparation in order to be successful. It doesn’t just happen. The world is full of entrepreneurs that appear to be an overnight success, but they will tell you their instant success is just a veneer — they worked many hard years before achieving success.
